It’s coming very soon: Jesmond Community Orchard’s Apple Day celebrations will be this Saturday, October 10, from 1 – 3.30pm!
Have a go at making apple juice (child labour welcome), yield to temptation at the tasty cake stall, marvel at the fantastic display of apple varieties – and bring your own puzzling ‘mystery’ apples (with twig & leaves) for identification. We’ll have musicians, children’s crafts, ice cream and an interesting range of small fruit trees plus Swedish Candles, bottled juice and more on offer: something for everyone!
Apple Day is always a convivial event – and an important date in our calendar as proceeds help to maintain this peaceful oasis in a busy city: cash transactions please due to iffy Orchard Wi-Fi reception.
As always, donations of additional baked goods are greatly appreciated at the cake stall – and do bring a clean bottle if you’d like to take away some juice. Hope the weather cooperates!
