On Saturday 15 February, 10.30 – 12.00, join us at Jesmond Community Orchard in the north-west corner of St. Andrew’s Cemetery and learn how to prune your apple and pear trees to encourage fruiting and maintain health, shape and size. Friendly local enthusiasts will demonstrate and guide you in pruning various shapes, including free-standing trees, cordons, fans, espaliers and step-overs.
Cost: £5.00 payable on the day. Bring secateurs if you have them.
