Community gardening sessions take place every second and fourth Sunday 10:30am-12:30pm.
Accessibility
There is step-free access to the Orchard.
The cemetery has wide tarmac paths that lead to the Orchard. The majority of the Orchard is grassed, and a path roughly one metre wide leads to a paved area suitable for wheelchairs. Please note that the surfaces throughout the Orchard are not perfectly even.
Location
The Orchard is located in the North West corner of St Andrew’s Cemetery. N.B. you can only access the Orchard through the cemetery, via the entrances on Tankerville Terrace or the Great North Road. From the Tankerville Terrace gate, walk straight up the main path as far as the elaborate gate lodge then turn right towards the Orchard. From the North Road, where there is limited free parking, come through the gate lodge archway and turn immediately left towards the Orchard.
