Our green fingered committee members are working very hard to make this year’s Plant Sale the very best, which on such a miserable day is a cheering event to look forward to! There’ll be an especially good range of shrubs, annuals, herbaceous plants, evergreens and herbs plus vegetable and fruit plants and some lovely houseplants. Trees on offer include Bramley, Charleston Pippin, Hunt’s Early, Lord Suffield and Norman Cross Pinkmeat apples, Hessle pear, and hazel.
Donations for plants go towards the upkeep of the Orchard. They will need to be in cash this time, but this won’t be a problem though as there are three ATMs close by. If anybody wants one of the trees ahead of the Sale, let us know.
The generosity and help from Orchard supporters keeps the Orchard in the splendid shape it’s in, and the Plant Sale is a wonderful opportunity to stock your garden and support the Orchard at the same time. We look forward to fine weather – and to seeing you at the stall on Acorn Rd on May 11th!
